We see children as curious and capable, learning best through play. Our mixed-age playschool brings ages 2 through 5 together in one large classroom. Exploration, creativity, and social emotional learning shape the day, and each child's strengths are celebrated. Curiosity, empathy, and resilience grow here, one small moment at a time.
In one big room, children move between open-ended toys, play stations, and spaces meant for different kinds of work. Younger ones watch older ones, and older ones help. The day is paced so play, quiet, and group time alternate. Teachers stay close, waiting to see what a child will try next.
A visitor notices the room is set up for children to reach things themselves, and that children move between ages without much fuss. Teachers sit low at tables and on the floor. In a mixed-age group, the youngest learn quickly from the oldest.
What a day looks like
Mornings begin with a parent at the door and a teacher who knows your child's name. Children put belongings away, find a starting activity, and ease into the room. Some walk straight in; others need a minute with you. A gentle handoff makes the rest of the day easier.
The middle of the day is for play, small-group learning, meals, rest, and time outdoors. Children move between stations and open-ended toys. There is quiet time for resting and reading. Outdoors, they run, climb, and dig. Teachers follow the group's energy, holding routines steady.
Afternoon slows toward pickup. Children tidy what they used and gather their things. Some play one more game; others settle with a book. At the door, a teacher tells you something real about your child's day. You head home knowing what happened.
How we work with families
At pickup, teachers share what your child did, tried, or struggled with that day. You can ask about anything — eating, resting, playing with others. If a question needs more time, schedule a moment to talk. You are never left guessing how the day went.
The first weeks are gentle. New children start with shorter days if that helps, and we stay close while they learn the routines. Some settle in a few days, some take longer. We tell you honestly how it is going. You and your child settle in together.

Can we visit before deciding?
Yes, a tour is how families decide if Little Tree feels right. Your child can come along to see the classroom, meet teachers, and try a few activities while you ask questions.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Families usually pack a spare change of clothes, diapers or pull-ups if needed, and a comfort item from home. Label everything with your child's name. Sunscreen matters too — apply it before arrival and send a spray bottle for later.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what is currently open. Ask us what is available for the days you need, and we will tell you honestly.
What if there is no place right now?
You can ask to be told when a place opens for your child's age. We will reach out as soon as something becomes available.
